Mark A. Henry, M.D., has practiced ophthalmology in Somerset, KY, since August 1991. He is a medical doctor and surgeon with 20 years experience, specializing in ophthalmology and diseases of the eye. He graduated “with high distinction” from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Indiana University in 1990. Since that time, Dr. Henry has successfully performed over 12,000 cataract surgery procedures and over 1,000 successful Lasik/PRK and other laser refractive procedures.
Dr. Henry has been certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1991. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and served on the Board of Kentucky Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons from 2003 to present. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Kentucky Medical Association and the Pulaski County Medical Society.
Dr. Henry has served on the Board of Directors of the Somerset YMCA. Currently, he is on the school board of Somerset Christian School, the deacon board of Oak Hill Baptist Church and is very active in foreign medical missions.
